Last Saturday I attended a lovely* gathering to celebrate my niece's first birthday. The gathering was attended by 7 children under the age of 6, several of whom were just getting over being sick. It also included my twin two-year-old nephews, who were begging to have naps. If that doesn't strike fear in your heart for the future of your own personal health, you haven't been around little kids that often. The next day they were both extremely sick. Poor kids.

Sunday evening I had a slight sore throat. Monday afternoon I was moaning and wishing for death. Being me, I put off going to the doctor for 4 days. I have strep throat (probably) and bronchitis (likely) and a high fever and I just want to lie down and not move for a few weeks.

In other news, my company finally hired someone to help me. She started yesterday. When I was very very sick. Lucky her.

I've been planning to show off some UFOs for a while now but I just don't even really feel like knitting (i KNOW!!!). Maybe when the meds start to take effect. I got my first fiber from the Spunky Fiber club (beautiful!!) and it's almost all spun up (on hold due to not feeling like doing anything). I'm almost done the Gathered Pullover from Interweave (been sitting on the couch for a few days due to not feeling like doing anything). I have a couple of socks in progress, and a baby blanket for my cousin's daughter. All on hold due to... not feeling like doing anything.

* the "lovely" gathering was L.O.U.D.

  1. Oh, dear. I hope you feel better soon. Kid germs are the worst!

  2. I hope you feel better soon! I can't imagine a 2 year old asking for a nap!! Definitely a bad omen.

Hi! I'm so glad you stopped by. I'd love to hear from you.
