I have the back done on a sweater for my daughter (adult)but must persevere to get it finished. Good luck with whatever project you decide. Isn't it a beautiful day in Calgary today? The sun is shining and there is snow on the mountains out my window at work. Concept: I think that I'm going to frankenknit the Snowdrift Cardigan with the Bulky Buttony cardigan (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/raptwithfiber/buttony-sweater)... though I might do the Bulky Buttony in double moss stitch for increased bulkiness. Paired with those huge cables? Faboo.

PS Annika: I totally get that the socks could spiral in opposite directions! Figuring it out might melt the brain, though.Diane and Roryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14695342142779900326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12685130.post-49620696242557354592010-02-09T19:39:12.761-07:002010-02-09T19:39:12.761-07:00Those are so cute! I have hope for them though because I have recently begun knitting socks on tiny circs instead of dpns and I think these could be a candidate for this method.
I remember the reason I set them aside originally had to do with moving certain sts from one needle to another.

As for the Ravelympics/Knitting Olympics I had a pair of fancy socks all picked out and also a pair to finish for my Dad's b-day but I don't think it's going to happen for me as I somehow have become obsessed with the idea of knitting all the projects for my Color & Design class this semester and that is leaving zero time for anything else.

I'll definitely be cheering from the sidelines for everyone else!alligatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01434832761806066033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12685130.post-59480757801623121122010-02-09T16:35:44.979-07:002010-02-09T16:35:44.979-07:00Oh, thank the lord! I thought I was the only one who signed up for the Ravelympics and had no idea what I am to do next. :) And once upon a time I thought of knitting a Tangled Yoke too. Even have the silky wool and everything. When you figure it all out, let me know what I am supposed to be doing. :)Balkan Style Bloggershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10265684048288154049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12685130.post-62959017378915403002010-02-09T09:42:54.330-07:002010-02-09T09:42:54.330-07:00Those socks are GORGEOUS. Must make, but I worry that it will drive me nuts that they don't spiral in opposite directions.

I am thinking of doing the Knitting Olympics, rather than the Ravelympics, but I have NO idea what I will make. Must be done with stash yarn. Must be small, as despite being an expert knitter I also have a new baby. Maybe I should ask my blog for input too.

For you: the Snowdrift could be a great project. It bothers me that it is so cropped, as the collar (which is spectacular) makes it so top-heavy, but that would be easy to modify if it bothers you. YOu might not be as absurdly fussy as I am.Annikahttp://noirbettie.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12685130.post-9158260495725803942010-02-09T09:13:51.815-07:002010-02-09T09:13:51.815-07:00I love the socks!
